Creationists: Have you ever seen mountains and does the earth really look like it was created by magic?
Scientific theories like evolution and the Big Bang strengthen my belief in God, not diminish it. I do not believe in magic. I believe that God uses reality to create reality.
How can you see a mountain or look at the stars and walk away thinking that they are only thousands of years old? The earth is very beautiful but also very harsh and bleak. What about the other planets? Do you really believe that God makes everything by hand, so to speak?
If there is no such thing as evolution then how do you explain flightless birds?
What about this extra layer of skin on our knuckles that doesn’t immediately spring back into place when we squeeze it? What does that imply?
God created the Universe with physics, not magic.
We have animal bodies because we are descended from other animals. However, sometime in our evolution as our brains developed we achieved consciousness. With consciousness comes a soul and that is our link with God.
